Emerald Green Smokey Eye πŸ’š

Hello 😘 Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. ❀️ Tonight I did an emerald green smokey eye on my client πŸ’‹ it’s something different to most of the other eyes I’ve done. It’s a bolder look as well. πŸ˜‰

I would love to hear what you think! 😊

Here are the few steps to achieve this look:

I started off with the NYX eye primer, I really like this because it stops the eyeshadows from creasing.

Then I started with the inner eye, by adding a touch of silver, to make the eye appear slightly larger than what it is, and then applying gold to half of the eye.

On the other half of the eye I added an emerald green eyeshadow from the Kryolan palette. I then added, very gently, a black colour over. This gives off the smokey effect.

Lastly, I added the MAC Pigment to the centre of the eye for a shimmer look.

I finished the look off with a thin black liner on the eye and some mascara. ☺️

This eye is great for a party! πŸŽ‰

Xo

Lotsa love,

Salmaa πŸ’‹

Warm or Cool Undertones.Β

Hello beauties! One of the very first tips we learnt when I did my makeup course, was determining whether each of us had a warm or cool undertone. It’s a quick procedure, although we took the longer method of checking which each fabric colour suited us, whether it been bright shades, or much lighter ones. Below I’ve added some quick tips that will help tell you what undertone you have.

Not many people understand why this is so important? The reason being is that as a makeup artist, this gives us the ability to understand what colours will best compliment your face! ☺️

1) Check out the inside of your wrists. Do your veins appear blue or green? If they look blue  you’re cool-toned. If green, you’re warm toned. If you have trouble telling, you probably neutral

2) Are there certain colors you find you look better in? If you look best in colours such as blues, purples, and emerald-greens, you’re cool-toned. If colours such as reds, oranges, yellows, and olive-greens, you’re warm toned. And if any colour suits you, you are of the luckiest of us all.. Neutral.

3) If you burn easily or turn pink, you’re cool-toned. If you tan, you’re warm-toned.

4) If you have blue, grey, or green eyes with blonde, brown, or black hair that has platinum tones, you are most likely cool-toned. If you have brown, or hazel eyes with strawberry blonde, auburn, or black hair that has gold tones, you are most likely warm-toned.

Below the 3 undertones.

Cool (pink, rosy or bluish undertones)
Warm (yellow, peachy, golden undertones)
Neutral (a mix of warm and cool undertones)

Foundation colours:

Cool- Neutral or Pink based.

Warm- Yellow or Peach based.

.. So what undertone do you have?

Golden purple smokey eye Β

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Today I did a purple smokey eye on myself just for fun. So here goes all the amazing products that I’ve used and a few images.

Foundation – MAC No5 matchmaster

Blush- Flormar (can also be used as a highlighter)

Primed the eye with NYX eyeshadow base

Eyeshadows- NYX love in Paris palette as well as some gold dust by NYX.

Eyeliner- Catrice eye pen

Mascara- Roatating mascara by Flormar.

Lips- twist up lipstick by Flormar. Colour- raspberry.

I contoured abit with powder.
This look is easy to do, can be used for day or night. Took me a total of 10 minutes.

I’m a big fan of this look, although I can’t have a very heavy smokey eye because it doesn’t work well with my small eyes. I love doing the heavy look on others. πŸ˜‰

Hope you guys enjoyed this look and let me know what you thinkβ˜ΊοΈπŸ˜€

Message me to find out where you can get these products. πŸ’‹

Prep + Prime Natural Radiance by MAC

This is by far the best primer i have tried, which gives off a great glow on the skin! All you have to do is apply it first, and then apply the foundation over and you will immediately see a major difference. I used this in the color yellow radiance, which goes great with warm toned skin. It uplifts your face as well as giving it a great glow without making your face look oily because it controls oil. This primer is very light on the skin and has a very slight shine to it. try it out and let me know what you think.. πŸ™‚

Golden Pink Shimmer eye.Β

Ladies!

I did this eye earlier just to keep me relaxed from all the studying.. Needed the break. And what a perfect way to relax πŸ˜‹
I used the Flormar eyeshadows in a pink palette. Absolutely LOVE this brand, it’s so highly pigmented that all I had to do was dab my brush very lightly and it took on such great colour. In the middle of the eye I used some NYX gold dust. Love love, and love! I used the Flormar rotating mascara which gives a great ‘false lash’ look. And of coarse I finished this look with a black line.
Hope you ladies love this look as much I do..
😘😘😘
