I finally have time to breathe as I will be graduating this year. 

So anyway – let’s jump right into the make up look that will always work!

Those who are celebrating Valentine’s Day and plan on going for a supper, could do this look and end off with a bright red lipstick. 
I prefer matte lipsticks as it tends to stay on much longer!

Home Made Juices For Summer β˜€οΈπŸΉ

Hi All! Sorry for being so MIA. If you’ve read my other posts, you know why… 
Today I plan on giving some recipes that I have found on the net, and that I’ve tried, to keep you going in this heat. 

Lemon Lime Ginger Ale Recipe:πŸ‹


handful of grapes 

1 apple, sliced 

A touch of ginger 

1/2 lime 

1/4 lemon 

sparkling mineral water


Remove the grapes from the stem. Juice the apple and ginger together, then juice the rest of the fruit. Pour the juice in a large glass and fill to the top with sparkling water and serve with ice.

This gives a great refreshing taste as well as a zing!

Fresh fruit

Fill a jug with water, cut up fruits into small pieces and add it to the water, then add ice and drink, this water is great if you one of those who don’t like the taste of plain water, it gives a kick of fresh fruit, allowing you to enjoy it the healthy way. 

Apple And Kiwi Juice🍏



Method: add kiwis and apples into a juicer , mix well. Pour out in a glass and serve chilled. Apples are extremely healthy and will keep you going all day. 

An Everyday Healthy Alternative Juice🍠 

This juice is specially given to cancer patients, and although it benefits them in numerous ways, it helps our bodies as well. 


A handful of carrots 

1 small beetroot 

Method: add carrots and beetroot to a juicer, mix and drink fresh. 

One can also make plain Apple, carrot, pineapple, papaya etc juices in the morning. It keeps the body going, giving it extra vitamins and helping you feel revitalized the whole day! 🍍

Homemade facial masks.Β 

Why buy a ready made mask when you can make your own at home? And a benefit to making your own mask is that you know exactly what’s in it and it’s all natural!

 Below I’m going to add some homemade masks you can use while busy relaxing at home over a weekday or weekend, it’s quick and easy! 

Oatmeal facial mask-

Oatmeal is used as a quick fix! And will leave your skin looking and feeling better. Combine 1/2 cup hot (make sure it isn’t boiling water please) and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 small egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. 

Yogurt facial mask-

Yogurt is used to cleanse and tighten the pores of the skin, all you have to do is add plain yogurt to your face for about 20 minutes, after that rinse away with warm water. And you will feel the results. 😊

Did you know  having a strawberry yogurt when your throat is sore helps wonders? Tried and tested by me! Actually gives the throat a relief. 

Yogurt also has probiotics which is great for the stomach! 

Egg white and yogurt mask

Take 2 egg whites, separated from the yolk and place it in a bowl, then take 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt and add to the egg whites, mix it up and apply it to your face. Enjoy πŸ˜‰

Milk and honey mask-

Take 2 tablespoons of milk and 2 tablespoons of honey, whisk it up till you get a creamy texture. Dip a cottonwool/cotton pad to the mixture and gently apply to your whole face for 10 minutes, after this rinse away with water and tap your face dry with a towel! 

The reason why I chose these specific masks is because every household definitely has these ingredients.

Tips to make your skin glow.Β 


So after doing research I realized something, the best and proven way to get glowing skin is by using turmeric. In Indian culture, a bride makes this tumeric mask so that she glows on her wedding day. And it really DOES work.. So here goes the recipe below with a few other options that you can use if you aren’t gutsy enough for turmeric.πŸ˜‰


Take turmeric powder and mix lemon juice in it. Make a paste and apply it on your skin. Do not take too much turmeric or else you will end up with a yellow face instead of glowing skin. Let the mask dry, and then, wash off thoroughly with cold water. 

Or.. You could do it the proper Indian way – 

For this beauty mask, combine 2 teaspoons sandalwood powder, 2 teaspoons turmeric powder, Β½ cup chickpea flour with a little almond oil. To this add water and make a paste.

Did you know turmeric also helps with cuts and bruises? If you get cut whilst busy in the kitchen, add a tsp of turmeric to the affected area and use a Elastoplast over it. Within a few minutes it will stop the bleeding.  It works great with kids injuries as well, as it has anti inflammatory properties. It’s a number 1 spice in my household. 

Other face masks for glowing skin are- 

Eggs & Honey

Take the egg and separate egg whites as you are going to need the white part only. Now, add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix it well. Apply it on your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Honey will brighten up your skin while egg whites will tighten your skin. Wash off after 15 minutes. You will notice the difference. ☺️

 Lemon & Sugar Scrub

Take 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and mix them. Apply it on your face and massage. You can also use this scrub on your elbows and knees. Keep it for 10 minutes. Subsequently, rinse thoroughly with warm water. This will help in removing tan and dead skin.

Coconut Oil

Coconut provides plenty of benefits to the skin. Apply some amount of coconut oil on your skin. This will remove the tan and moisten your skin. Apply it on the daily basis.

NB❗️ before applying any of these masks to your face, first test on th inner part of your arm, if you start feeling a weird sensation, it’s best that you don’t apply it to your face.
