Hi beauties… ❤️❤️
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.
Today I want to focus on a very interesting topic. Ever thought about how much of product you need to apply to your face? 🌀
Usually, most of us go overboard and then sit with an over-moisturized face, or too much eye creme that we try and dab in, for minutes on end.
However, all your worries can end today! As I was scrolling on the internet, I came across this image which PERFECTLY shows you the amount of product you need. 🎯
▶️ beauty tip – Always use quite a bit of cleanser and gently lather into the skin, then allow it to soak into the pores. Rinse gently, and feel how silky smooth your skin is! Cleansers clean your pores thoroughly and remove the excess oils, if you suffer from oily/combination skin or acne prone skin, then make sure you buy cleansers that are made for combination/oily skin.
I hope this image helps some, if not all of you reading this. ☺️☺️
Hi All! Sorry for being so MIA. If you’ve read my other posts, you know why…

Don’t forget that fruits also help with the beauty side of life, helping your skin in many ways!
Did you know that just like olive oil, and many other oils, almond oil is just as beneficial to us?
It benefits us humans in a myriad of ways and I will list a few below that you may need someday!
Almond oil benefits the skin, hair and health and doesn’t smell that bad either, there are two types of oil: the bitter oil and the sweet oil. However the sweet oil is much more popular than the bitter oil.
Here are some of the benefits –
•Improves the complexion and retains the skins glow
•Soothes skin irritation and skin inflammation
•Relieves dry and irritated skin
•Cures chapped lips
Almond oil can be used to cleanse the skin, and in that way it helps prevent acne and blackheads
It’s great for removing makeup as well, gently apply cotton wool to the oil and run around the eye to remove all eye makeup.
People who suffer from eczema and psoriasis can use almond oil as a form of relief when it comes to itching, as it will hydrate the dry skin and cause the irritation to lessen.
Almond oil can also be used for muscle aches and pains! All you have to do is warm the oil and massage it into the painful muscles, allow to soak into the area and the pain should disappear.
Almond oil can be used to strengthen hair, apply it to clean hair that has just been washed with a shampoo and allow to dry naturally.
Almonds can also be used to strengthen memory. You should try and eat a handful everyday, and your memory will improve in a short period of time.
When it comes to the body almond oil helps with the below:
•Regular consumption of almond oil helps reduce cholesterol
•Nourishes the brain and nervous system
I personally apply almond oil to my lips, it helps with chapped lips and actually heals it! Works great 😀
I apologize for my lack of posts lately! It’s exam season for me between October and November, I will try my best to blog when I can.
Have any of you tried almond oil? What was your experience?
Also if you haven’t subscribed to my blog as yet, be sure to do it 😘
Hi All. Today I’ll be doing a review on the konjac sponge, which I found to be absolutely amazing and a must buy. Especially if you suffer with problem type skin.
I’m usually always skeptical when new things come on the market, I always try and see whether or not it’s worth using n secondly, whether it’s worth wasting your money on the product.
Anyway back to the sponge ➡️ for those who don’t know what this is, it’s a sponge made from vegetable fibre, which is used to deeply cleanse the skin, also by exfoliating and detoxifying the skin. This works wonders with acne prone skin, or oily skin. However those who don’t have a problem with their skin, can use this too. 😊 it’s friendly to sensitive skins and even safe enough to use on babies. ☺️
When you first open up the packaging, the sponge feels rather hard, all you have to do is rinse it under warm Water for it to soften up. Once softened, it feels amazing!!!
These sponges come in 5 colours for different skin uses with each below-
1) The white one- is for all skin types.
2) The black one- for oily and acne prone skin.
3) The green one- for oily and combination skin.
4)The red one- more for matured, damaged skin.
5) The pink one- for tired skin.
I wish I could explain the texture of this sponge, knowing it feels so good without it having any colourants, or chemicals, which is healthy for your skin, and will keep your skin smiling throughout the day.
I got this sponge from Allure Makeup, it’s one of my best skincare products that I’ve invested in, I recommend it to each and everyone of you, age doesn’t matter. 😉
Has anyone tried this sponge out? If so, what’s your opinion on it?
😀 Good Evening fellow bloggers…. This post comes with experience. It’s a few secrets from ME to YOU.. Below I leave you with quick solutions to some really annoying problems. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me!
🔹My lips are usually always peeling especially when it comes to winter, around this time of the year. I tend to suffer with winter lips, which can be very uncomfortable, and not very appealing either. I’m sure at some point, you needed a quick fix for your lips, because for instance you have an interview the next morning and want to look and feel your best! Here’s what I do daily before I go to bed, I use the body shop lip butter. 😍I saw it on sale and figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try, this was the best decision I could have made.
👄 I apply it to my lips overnight. It has a creme base, which gives off like a pinkish-white color. All you need to do is massage it into your lips and you will see the colour disappearing (this is only if you are using it during the day) otherwise when going to bed it can be left like that, it also comes in different flavours, and my ultimate favorite would be strawberry. It has a sweet strawberry scent to it. 😍
🔹Another issue I sometimes have is a pimple which decides to pop in the middle of my face! Or anywhere on my face for that matter. 😔 it can be painful and very stubborn, so after trying almost any and every product or home remedy, I came across two that really work. 👇🏻
👉🏻 1) Acne and Pimple Cream by Himalaya. ~ yes this will always be my first option! All you have to do is apply it to the affected area and leave it overnight, the next morning your zit will be almost, to fully dried out. It also brings down the inflammation in that area making the zit 1/2 of its size. (NB- please make sure to read the ingredients of the product before applying it to your skin due to any allergens)
👉🏻 2) My second best would be toothpaste! A cheap easy fix and every household should have this, well I’m hoping so 😉. Apply this for as long as your skin can handle it. It does usually burn abit but eventually the pain subsides. I use it on a zit overnight and it also dries it up and decreases it in size.
🔹If you’re a foundation person, you can usually cover up the zit by concealing and then applying foundation over. Just remember to wash your makeup off at night, as this is the number one reason why your skin gets clogged and causes all types of pimples, and also you will be prone to ageing skin.
🔹👀 Another problem most people face is not enough sleep, causing your eyes to swell. Literally the best and probably the only way I have found to work, is cutting a cold cucumber and applying it to the eyes! It soothes the eyes, as well as bringing the puffiness down.
– Potatoes are also great at bringing down puffiness! It has anti inflammatory properties which helps getting rid of the bags from your under your eyes!
🔹☕️ trying to get rid of mouth ulcers? Pamper yourself with a cup of tea! Before adding the milk, remove the teabag and set aside to cool down abit. Apply it to the affected area in the mouth. This can be done as many times as needed. After a few days, the mouth ulcer will be healed. 😊
Have any of you tried any of the above? 😘 Let me know what has worked for you, maybe I could learn a thing or two as well. ☺️
hi all! Happy 1st of June. That means that winter in South Africa is just going to get more intense! 🙈 I’m really not one for winter but the best part about it, is the dressing up.. After exams I will do some OOTD. 😘
However, moving along. I did makeup for this lovely lady last year sometime. It was still in my learning phases. I matched colours that would go with her skin colour as well as matched up a foundation for her skin, she has clear, stunning skin and didn’t need much coverage.
I used the brand, mud, for the foundation, eyes, lips etc. however I did not add any lashes, just thickened her natural lashes abit with mascara ☺️
